ABSTRACT SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

PRESENTING AUTHOR

  • The name of the presenting author should be underlined.
  • Institution (s) name, mailing and email addresses need to be provided.

Number of co-authors: No abstract can have more than five (5) authors.
Up to two abstract submissions are allowed per author. If your name appears on more than two accepted abstracts, we will ask you to withdraw from the additional abstracts.

LANGUAGE: 

  • All abstracts must be submitted and presented in English with good grammar and spelling of a quality suitable for publication.

TITLE:

  • The abstract title is limited to 150 characters including spaces.
  • The abstract title must be entered in UPPER CASE (e.g.,” “PBM THERAPY IS THE FUTURE”).

WORD LIMIT:

  • The abstract text is limited to 350 words total. 

STRUCTURE:

You will follow the structure below when submitting an abstract:

    1. Title (150 characters)
    2. Abstract (350 words). Please include:
      • Three Learning objectives
      • Brief Introduction
      • Methods (all the PBM parameters should be well documented)
      • Results including statistical analysis.
      • Conclusions
    3. Authors and affiliations
    4. Presentation type (e.g. Oral, Young Investigator)
    5. Abstract Topic
    6. Declaration of any conflict of interest

IMAGES/TABLES: 

  • Each abstract can contain up to THREE (3) images or tables. To include a table, you will prepare the table in another application and take a screenshot of the table to include it as an image in the submission. When preparing tables/images, please consider that the abstracts are published on letter size paper (8.5″ x 11″) with two columns. This may limit the ability to read your tables/images if they are too wide and need to be resized to fit this layout.
  • Upon submission, the Submitting Author confirms that the abstract has been proofread and that all information is correct. Upon submission, the Submitting Author confirms that any patient photos and/or data have been released and approved by the patient for publication. 
  • Changes are not permitted after the submission deadline.
  • A double-blind review process is utilised, whereby the author(s) name and information should NOT appear anywhere in the abstract. 
  • Empirical papers are considered. 
  • Please check the Speakers’ Guidelines for Presentation layout details and specification.
